BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 12 Ruby Tuesday Dodge Charger) Qualified 4th
"Carl (Edwards) is really good here. I made a small, little mistake. I knew that my lap was beatable. I'm excited to qualify up front. We've had a lot going on. We won last week at Talladega. We've got a brand new sponsor on the car with Ruby Tuesday. I feel pretty good with everything that's going on with this 22 team. A solid effort in qualifying."
WITH THIS BEING AN IMPOUND RACE, DID YOU STAY MORE WITH A RACE SETUP FOR QUALIFYING? "It's a balancing act. It's not easy to determine which tracks you give at and which tracks you shouldn't. Here, the tough part is qualifying in the sun. You're adjusting more for the sun than a qualifying setup. We're going to race at night, so the race is a totally different situation. Usually, teams do quite a bit of adjusting on that first pit stop."
JUSTIN ALLGAIER (No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Charger) Qualified 9th
"It feels good to get the Verizon Dodge farther ahead in the field than where we started last year (38th). Brad had a good qualifying run and we had a good one. At night, the grip comes around. Obviously, a lot of guys will get tight. We were a decent bit free in qualifying. It's always a good thing to have that kind of problem here. It's a fun race track. You have to mentally drive this place as much as physically drive it. Tonight is a long race. We've got a great car. We've got a great pit crew. Track position is going to be important, so I'm glad we had a good qualifying run. I think our car is exactly where we want it to be for the start of the race. This track seems to trick you. As the race goes on, the team that can adjust the best is usually the one in victory lane. So, Chad (Walter, crew chief) and I are going to work really hard to make not only good calls, but timely calls. If we can do that, we'll be in good shape. Right now, I feel we have a top-three car. Hopefully, by the end of the race we will have made the right adjustments and be in position to win our second race."
