R3 Motorsports partners with Wild Sports Marketing to continue success
Agency to assist No. 23 Chevrolet team with marketing and sponsorship management
CHINA GROVE, N.C. (May 10, 2010) -- R3 Motorsports, fielding the No. 23 Chevrolet in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition, announced today it has partnered with Wild Sports Marketing, a motorsports marketing agency, as its agency of record for marketing and sponsorship management.
Robert Richardson, Sr., a Texas businessman, is the sole owner of R3 Motorsports with primary driver Robert Richardson, Jr. and third-generation NASCAR driver, Coleman Pressley, who has also piloted the No. 23 Chevrolet for select races. The team currently sits a career-best 21st in owner's points, having moved up 10 positions in just the past six races.
R3 Motorsports was looking for a marketing agency that would bring a unique strategic and creative approach to our team," said Richardson, Sr. "Wild Sports Marketing is a great fit for us and we look forward to a mutually-beneficial relationship together.
"We've been pretty successful on the track lately earning two top-15s and three of our four top-20s have come in the past three races. We want to continue that success and now is as good a time as any to get involved with our team.
"The contacts WSM has in the hunting, fishing and outdoorsman industry fits right in with our team. Myself, Robert Jr. and half the team are hunters and fisherman."
Leading the effort with R3 Motorsports will be Steve Moberly, vice president of WSM. An avid outdoorsman himself, Moberly immediately connected with team members on many levels because they're avid outdoorsmen themselves. Moberly sees the No. 23 Chevrolet as a high-profile marketing platform, especially for outdoors-related businesses.
