* Seeing Double?
You may think you have double vision this weekend when two Great Clips Toyotas take the green flag for Friday evening's Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway! Brian Scott will pilot the No. 10 Great Clips Camry and Jason Leffler will drive the No. 38 Great Clips Camry for Braun Racing.
* Brian Scott Making Second Career NNS Start with Braun Racing
In his debut Nationwide Series race last weekend at Nashville Superspeedway, Scott started 24th and ran in the top-16 for a majority of the race before his engine overheated and forced him to pit under the green flag. Down two laps, Scott finished 25th. The Boise, Idaho-native is currently in his second year of full-time competition in the Camping World Truck Series for Xpress Motorsports. Plans call for Scott to compete in four races under the Braun Racing banner.
* Scott's Phoenix International Raceway Highlights
Scott has two starts at PIR under his belt, both in the Camping World Truck Series. In his first outing at the one-mile track in 2007, he started 23rd and finished 18th. Last year he improved by leaps and bounds finishing in the 4th position after starting 5th.
SCOTT ON RACING AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY
"Phoenix is a pretty good track for me. I have raced there twice with the Camping World Truck Series and last year finished fifth. It's certainly a good feeling to go to a place where I have some laps under my belt. Phoenix is a flat, short track and I have more experience at those types of tracks than at the larger 1.5-mile speedways. That being said, I fully expect a good, solid run this weekend for Braun Racing and Great Clips. Our goal is a top-10 and I think that with the veteran team I have supporting me, that goal is easily attainable. Phoenix is relatively close to my hometown of Boise, Idaho so I will have a big support system of family and friends in the stands to cheer us on. I'm just ready to get there, get in some practice time, qualify well and run a smooth race."
