Pastrana inks deal with Roush Fenway Racing
The full-time ride puts Pastrana behind the wheel of the No. 60 RFR Ford. He will have Trevor Bayne as his team mate.
Travis Pastrana is going full-time NASCAR Nationwide Series racing in 2013, and he's doing so from behind the wheel of the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford. He'll be a teammate to Trevor Bayne, who returns to full-time Nationwide Series racing behind the wheel of the No. 6 RFR Ford.
"I am extremely excited about making the move into full-time NASCAR competition in 2013 and equally thrilled to have the opportunity to make that move with (team owner) Jack Roush and the team at Roush Fenway Racing," Pastrana said. "I am very serious about making this move running competitively and ultimately winning races in NASCAR."
Pastrana has nine-career Nationwide starts to his credit, with most of those starts coming in Toyotas fielded by Pastrana-Waltrip Racing and later by RAB Racing. He did drive the No. 60 Ford for Roush Fenway at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway. He started that race in the fifth spot and finished 17th after spending a significant amount of time inside the top-10.
Prior to making the move to NASCAR, Pastrana racked up honors that include four rally championships and a motocross championship and several X Games gold medals.

"Travis is a champion," Roush said. "It takes a great deal of drive and determination to reach that level of greatness in any field. He is serious about this move to NASCAR, and we are committed to doing everything we can to see his career develop in NASCAR."
Pastrana's No. 60 will be backed by several primary sponsors throughout the season, and veteran crew chief Chad Norris will make the calls for him from atop the pit box.
