"This has always been a fun race track for me. I just love this place. It was a great qualifying run. The Verizon Wireless guys did a great job. Yesterday in practice, we had an awesome car. Now we just have to go for that Sam Bass guitar (winner's trophy). It's nice when you can drive awesome pieces like this and that's a credit to all the guys back at the shop -- engine guys, aero guys -- this is a testament to all their hard work. It's a lot of fun right now."
HOW DO YOU THINK THE TRANSITION FROM DAYTIME TO NIGHTIME WILL AFFECT YOUR CAR? "Honestly, I felt that our car actually got better once the night came out yesterday in practice. We knew that we had a good qualifying car and it was just a matter of seeing where we would qualify. The start of the race is going to be a feeling-out process. These Verizon Wireless Dodge guys are doing a great job. We're fast on a track that I really like to race on. Track position is going to be a key tonight. We just have to make sure that we stay out of trouble and keep our Dodge up front. If we have good pit stops and run a smart race, we have a great shot at victory lane tonight."
BRAD KESELOWSKI (No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Charger) Qualified 24th
"I had a handful of wheel, that's for sure. We were just a little loose. The clouds were coming in and out and we caught a patch of sun that just made us too free. That's OK. It's a long race here at Nashville and you have plenty of time to adjust on your car. We'll go through a day-to-night transition that will make our Discount Tire Dodge better as the race goes on. I feel good about our car. We're fast. I'm confident Paul (Wolfe, crew chief) will find a way to get me up to the front. We have a great opportunity this weekend to help ourselves in the points and get a great start to the summer swing."
