Jason Leffler ready to return to the three-wide racing that
Leffler's NNS Michigan Highlights - In six (6) career NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Michigan International Speedway (MIS), Leffler has two top-10 finishes and has only placed outside of the top-15 once. Last year, Leffler brought home an eighth-place finish after starting 17th.
Leffler's NCWTS Michigan Highlights - In NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition, Leffler's Michigan stats are impressive with one pole (2003) and two top-five finishes, finishing second in 2002 and fourth in 2003 with six laps led.
In the Loop... Though Leffler is not ranked among the top-10 in Driver Rating at MIS, his performance at intermediate tracks this season indicates that he could break into that category this weekend. Leffler is ranked high in a number of different categories including Closers (1st), Green-Flag Passes (1st), Laps in Top-15 (8th), Passes on the Frontstretch (3rd), Passes on the Backstretch (4th) and 1st in Green-Flag Passes in Turns 1-4.
LEFFLER ON MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
"We have had a good mix of races over the last month so it's fun to throw in a race like Michigan after a couple of short-track races and last weekend's road course race at Watkins Glen. It's nice to mix it up every now and then with a different style of racing but I miss the excitement of racing three-wide and beating and banging for position that you just don't get much of in a road course race. Michigan is a super fast track with multiple grooves that allow you to run anywhere on the track you want or where your car handles the best. I love it because there's a lot of side-by-side and three-wide racing which keeps it pretty exciting the entire race. This Great Clips team has run extremely well at these intermediate tracks this season and I look for more of the same on Saturday."
