Rookie Landon Cassill Grabs Career-First NASCAR Nationwide Series Pole at New Hampshire Motor Speedway; All Chevrolet Front Row

Loudon, NH -- June 28, 2008 -- Landon Cassill celebrated his biggest moment to-date in his budding NASCAR career by capturing the pole for the Camping World RV Sales 200 Presented by RVs.com for the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The 18-year old rookie driver from Cedar Rapids, Iowa bested a field of 44 drivers attempting to make the race to capture the number one starting spot behind the wheel of the No. 5 National Guard Monte Carlo SS fielded by Junior Motorsports for car owner Rick Hendrick.

Cassill's previous best qualifying effort was third last week at The Milwaukee Mile. In eight 2008 NNS starts, his best finish to-date is ninth at Nashville Superspeedway. He has also made five starts in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this season behind the wheel of the Morgan-Dollar Motorsports Silverado and has scored two top-10 and one top-five finish, a third last weekend at The Milwaukee Mile.

Unfortunately an engine change he will drop to the rear of the field prior to the green flag due to an engine change.

It will be an all Chevrolet front row as current NNS points leader Clint Bowyer, No. 2 Camping World RV Sales Monte Carlo SS, qualified second for the 200-lap/211.6-mile race.

Two-time NNS champion Kevin Harvick, No. 33 Camping World Monte Carlo SS, qualified fifth to give Chevrolet three of the top-five qualifiers. A total of 23 Chevys will take the green flag this afternoon.
