James Davison to run Road America Xfinity Series race with JGR

Australian James Davison is set to make his fourth career NASCAR Xfinity Series start this weekend at Road America.

Davison will be making his first start of the 2018 season this weekend, driving the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry with backing from Jonathan Byrd’s Hospitality and Restaurant Group.
“I’m psyched to be rejoining Joe Gibbs Racing at Road America,” said Davison. “Last year we had a strong run end in misfortune. This year our objective is to turn performance into result. I’m excited to go get after it.”
Davison, a native of Melbourne, Australia, is a four-time Indianapolis 500 starter with a diverse racing resume that also includes three appearances in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, victories in the Pirelli World Challenge and two seasons of Indy Lights competition.
Davison's best showing in the Xfinity Series came at Mid-Ohio last year when he placed fourth for JGR.
