STATESVILLE, N.C. -- Chase Miller and the No. 9 Verizon Wireless/Motorola Dodge team wrap up the 2008 Nationwide Series schedule this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Miller makes his 14th and final NASCAR Nationwide Series start of the 2008 season. The 21-year-old Canton, Ga. native will make his 20th career start on Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla. He recorded his series-best, sixth-place finish at Memphis in 2008.
"The 2008 season has been a great learning experience," said Miller. "We've raced to a couple of top-10 finishes, gained experience and had a lot of fun along the way. We've worked hard this year and made a lot of changes, but I feel like I've gotten better each race and I look forward to whatever the future holds."
Miller is in his second season as a driver for Gillett Evernham Motorsports. He has raced at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the truck series in 2006 for Bobby Hamilton Racing, where he finished 32nd.
On Past Experience at Homestead-Miami Speedway: "I've only raced at Homestead once, and that was in the truck Series in 2006 for Bobby Hamilton Racing. We had a good qualifying run and started 13th, but wrecked toward the end of the race and finished 32nd."
On The Racetrack: "It's a fun 1.5 mile racetrack that lets you race the guys around you. We're hoping our race on Saturday is a better result than our first race there in 2006. I've learned a lot in the last two years and I look forward to getting back on the track and finishing the year strong."
Chassis Info: The No. 9 Verizon Wireless/Motorola Dodge team will use chassis B27 this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Kasey Kahne raced chassis B27 at Lowe's Motor Speedway (Oct. 10) to an 11th place finish.
