Buescher talks Auto Club Speedway
"I'm excited about going back to Auto Club Speedway with the BigSpot.com Toyota. I ran in the top-10 for most of the spring race there and I've always liked the racetrack. Auto Club Speedway is a relatively flat track that is wide and fast. During the race, you will see that the groove really spreads out, giving us a lot of options in terms of the car's handling. I can search high, low and middle of the racetrack for a groove or line that is going to match what my BigSpot.com Toyota will want to do. There are four or five lanes of racing to choose from at Auto Club Speedway and that makes it fun for us drivers and exciting for the fans to watch the side-by-side racing."
Buescher on his Nationwide Series start of the season with Braun Racing
"Making my first start of 2010 with Braun Racing last week was a great experience. I ran some races with those guys back in 2008 and I feel like we picked up right where we left off. I felt our performance last week was great and, had it not been for some bad luck, I think we would have had a great result. We practiced, qualified and ran all in the top-10 and I think that's a testament to how strong the Braun Racing team is. The first week was great and I feel the second week should go a lot smoother now that we have gotten more used to each other's communication style. It feels great to run up front in the Nationwide Series and be a part of a strong organization. I'm really excited to see the talented group of guys from Braun Racing join forces with everyone at Turner Motorsports next year."
Buescher representing BigSpot.com
"This will be the first time I will be representing BigSpot.com and I'm pretty excited about it. BigSpot.com has really put a good effort into activating their sponsorship with Braun Racing and it shows with their online presence. While they haven't done a lot of races this year, I was already familiar with them and what they do. I think it's cool you can log onto BigSpot.com and help shape products and services in the future with just a few clicks of a mouse. Hopefully we can help shape their product and service by giving them a great drive on Saturday at Auto Club Speedway."
Braun Racing acquired by Turner Motorsports
It was recently announced that Turner Motorsports acquired select assets of Braun Racing. The team will continue to operate as Braun Racing for the remainder of the 2010 season. Plans for Turner Motorsports in 2011 include fielding three entries in both the Camping World Truck Series and the Nationwide Series (NNS). The NNS driver lineup will be announced in October.
The No. 11 BigSpot.com team is bringing chassis No. BR44 for this weekend's CampingWorld.com 300. BR44 was last seen in the hands of Kasey Kahne in Atlanta, where it was awarded the Pole.
