THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: Elliott Sadler
How do you feel going to your home track of Richmond International Raceway?
"It's always great going back home to Richmond. My dad and I have been going there for years and years, not only when I was racing, but watching my uncle race and watching my brother race. I was there the day that it went from a half-mile racetrack to a three quarter-mile racetrack. It's only 45 minutes from my house in Emporia, so it's very special place for me being that it's home."
What would it mean to take the checkered flag at Richmond?
"It's a place where I reached out to my crew chief Ernie Cope and said 'Man, it's really important to go there and run good and be competitive.' To get a trophy at Richmond to me is just as important as winning a race at Daytona or Indy or Charlotte. It's definitely one track on the list that I'd like to conquer before my career is over."
