SCOTT LAGASSSE JR. 2010
SCOTT LAGASSEE Jr Ranks 16th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings
* One of five NNS drivers to be running at the finish of all ten races this season
LAGASSE JR. COMMUNITY-MINDED THIS WEEK
* Once again this week Lagasse Jr.'s No. 43 Ford Fusion will sport an American Red Cross scheme on the Nashville-based Baker Curb Racing entry. Fans can Text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the American Red Cross of Nashville to help fund volunteer efforts in the rebuilding of Nashville and the surrounding areas after last week's floods.
* Friday Lagasse Jr. will be one of several Nationwide Series drivers visiting Dover AFB to meet troops and their families and sign autographs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
* In Saturday's race the No. 43 will be one of four cars sporting the colors of the Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece logo as a sign of support for the nation's leading autism science and advocacy organization. The logo will be placed on the C post of Lagasse Jr.'s American Red Cross Ford Fusion.
SCOTT LAGASSE JR. ON DOVER
"I have a love-hate relationship with Dover. I love the place, it is a really cool race track but I seem to have very bad luck there. The shape of the track and the walk over bridges are what makes it so cool. The steep corners make it seem like you are dropping down into a valley. For a one-mile track the speeds you carry are incredible. We've been fast there in the past and just when it looks like we have a good run going, something happens. Last year, we had a really good car and I took a big hit at the end. We've had some bad luck the last few weeks and I think this is the week we turn things around and show everyone what this team is capable of!"
SCOTT LAGASSE JR. ON AMERICAN RED CROSS SCHEME
"Even though the storm is over, a lot of time and money is still needed to help rebuild Nashville and the surrounding areas. You can tell there is a strong sense of community here and many areas are starting to show some progress thanks in large part to all of the volunteers and the donations received by the American Red Cross. Everyone is working together and we are proud to do our part by running the American Red Cross logo on the car again this week. NASCAR fans always rise to the occasion when people are in need and I'm sure that many fans will call, go online or text their support to those in need in Nashville."
