Coleman Claims 21st at Daytona
Earns Featherlite Most Improved Driver Award

(Daytona Beach, Fla.) - Capitalizing on his ability to run well on superspeedways, Brad Coleman and the No. 27 Kleenex Ford team started the day off with a bang qualifying in the fourth position, their best start of the season.

After taking over the lead on the first lap, Coleman and the team would fight aero problems throughout the night but work to bring home the 21st place finish.

"We were fine in clean air but literally not able to race close to other cars on the speedway because of our aero problems," stated Coleman. "Even one of my noted veteran competitors came up to us after the race and said we would be a Top 10 team if we could ever get our cars to handle. This is really tough on my entire crew because they are working their tails off but we can't make it happen without the missing pieces. We are getting everything out of the packages we are provided and I thank Shawn Parker (Crew Chief), Jeff White (Chief Engineer), and everyone on my crew for continuing to work week in and week out to try and beat the odds. I also want to share my appreciation with the engine team at Roush-Yates for giving me a great motor this week."

Parker agreed with Coleman's assessment.

"It was great to see our car out there leading the competition down turn four," said Parker. "The car was really good in clean air and Brad did a super job qualifying it in the fourth spot, but we do not have the aero package we need to compete with the leaders and stay up front. Our guys are working really well together and along with Brad, we are getting everything we can out of our cars. A crew and driver could not work together any better than we are right now."

Coleman and the No. 27 Kleenex Ford Fusion will take on the turns of Chicagoland Speedway under the lights on Friday night.
