Earnhardt Jr will drive the No. 83 Navy Dale Jr. Division Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS this weekend in support of the program. The national recruiting effort is the first of its kind for the Navy and will be supported by a marketing and advertising campaign that kicks off on Saturday as well. Recruits who sign up for the Dale Jr. Division will ship to Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill., in late August and the division will be commissioned by Earnhardt Jr. after initial in-processing. Earnhardt Jr. will again visit "his" recruits upon completion of their seven-to-eight week course.

KESELOWSKI TO 'SALUTE THE TROOPS' -- For Memorial Day weekend, Keselowski's Navy Chevrolet will sport a special Salute the Troops scheme in honor of the men and women in the armed forces who serve our country. He joins a host of other drivers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin, in paying tribute to members of the military as part of the Salute the Troops program this weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Keselowski's car will feature the Salute the Troops logo, as well as the image of Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz, who at the height of the Pacific war commanded more than two million men and women, 5,000 ships and 20,000 planes. Apparel and other items featuring the Salute the Troops drivers are available from Motorsports Authentics and a portion of every Salute the Troops merchandise purchase will go to the USO to support the families of the brave men and women of the military.

TESTING -- Keselowski and the No. 88 Navy team tested at LMS on May 12-13. He ended the two-day test 10th on the cumulative speed charts. David Green tested JR Motorsports' No. 83 car, but hit the wall on the first day of the open test, ending the team's session early.

RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND GREAT LAKES -- The Navy team's Fleet Honoree this weekend is Recruit Training Command Great Lakes. The establishment of a naval training station on the Great Lakes was first considered in 1902. RTC received its first trainee in 1911 and has been preparing young men and women to be able-bodied sailors ever since.

EARNHARDT JR. (on JRM fielding three cars) -- "JR Motorsports has come a long way in the last few years. It started out as a one-team deal in a little shop in Mooresville at the end of 2005 and in the last couple years has expanded into a two-car operation that's running up front each week in the Nationwide Series. This year has been really great for the team. We merged the JRM program with Rick's [Hendrick] Nationwide team for 2008 and have been strong right out of the box. Mark Martin scored our company's first Nationwide win back at Vegas and Brad [Keselowski] has been making a name for himself in the series this year with a string of solid runs. This weekend at Charlotte marks another milestone for us -- the first time we've ever attempted to run three teams at this level. It's pretty cool to see something that we've worked hard to build be successful and grow."

EARNHARDT JR. (on the Navy's Dale Jr. Division) -- "My team at JR Motorsports has worked with the Navy to put together a really cool program with the Dale Jr. Division. I've had the opportunity to meet a number of sailors from various commands at the track over the last few years and it's always cool to hear their stories and learn about what they experience on a daily basis in the Navy. It's an honor to be a part of the Navy's first-ever national recruiting campaign and I'm looking forward to going up to Great Lakes to commission them once all 88 recruits are in place."

KESELOWSKI (on special Salute the Troops paint scheme) -- "I'm proud to be a part of the Salute the Troops tribute to the armed forces on Memorial Day weekend. The men and women of our military do so much to protect our country every day. Their hard work, dedication and sacrifices allow us to experience the freedoms we enjoy every day. I have to thank the Navy for being part of this tribute and letting us run this special scheme featuring Admiral Nimitz."

KESELOWSKI (on testing at LMS) -- "The test was pretty decent for the No. 88 Navy team. Our teammates with the No. 83 Navy Chevrolet weren't as fortunate. Between that and our rough weekend at Darlington, we really focused on getting through the test with both of our No. 88 Chevys intact. The biggest thing for us was to keep our two cars in one piece and hopefully learn something. You don't have to be the fastest car on the charts to learn. We went to learn and try to find a few things we could apply when we go back for the race. We were successful with that, so overall it was a good test for us."
