"A solid lap for this Discount Tire Dodge Challenger. I'm pretty happy with our effort. The 21 ran a heck of a lap. I think that we needed to be a little bit tighter. It looks like we'll start somewhere near the front which will give us a good pit stall for tonight. We're fast and we start up front. All is good."
HOW FAST WILL THIS TRACK BE TONIGHT? "Really fast. I told Paul Wolfe (crew chief) that I expect to run faster (than our qualifying time) tonight. It's going to be exciting. It's a very tight race track right now."
PARKER KLIGERMAN (No. 26 K-Automotive Motorsports Dodge Challenger) Qualified 8th
"I thought we were pretty good in qualifying. We went into qualifying knowing that we had a fast car in the sun, based off of our practice sessions yesterday. The important thing for us was just making sure we got this Dodge Challenger in the show. I love driving this new Dodge Challenger. I feel like I'm on an even playing field with all the other cars. I got a really good first lap in and Chris (Carrier, crew chief) came over the radio and said P6. That was good enough for me. I think our Dodge's are really fast. It's going to be an exciting race."
JUSTIN ALLGAIER (No. 12 Verizon Wireless Dodge Challenger) Qualified 9th
"Not a bad lap. All through practice, we felt that we may struggle a bit in qualifying. We felt that the 6 car was really, really good in race trim and qualifying trim too. We knew that if we could hang with the 6 that we would be in good shape. I feel good about our Dodge Challenger. This Challenger is just bad fast. The Verizon Dodge guys did an awesome job all weekend. When we unloaded off the truck on Wednesday, we were scratching our heads about what we were missing. Since then, we've come a long way. These guys never give up. Chad (Walter) and all the guys have been scratching their heads in the early hours of the morning trying to figure out what they could do to make this car faster. We have methodically gotten better and feel really confident about our chances tonight."
