Finishing Position: 2nd
How much does this finish mean to you?
"It means a lot to me. I've been kicked pretty hard this year so to come back and run second again in this No. 11 Ridemakerz Toyota feels really good. I love Charlotte, I don't know why, I just love this race track. It was good. That car was really good. Off the trailer to when we just parked it right here. Really excited to drive that car."
How strong was Kyle Busch tonight?
"I think he just dominated the race. He was really fast and we knew that in practice, how good he was. That run there, we were actually a little faster than him, but I think he started conserving fuel and we started conserving fuel those last five laps. We were close, but we knew he was the car to beat here."
What would it mean for you to finish fifth in the points this season?
"First of all, I hadn't really even thought about top-five. I've been just worried about getting in the next race. This right here just came up like Monday and it's actually going to be for three races. I have to make the best out of what I have right now, whatever it is. Homestead and Phoenix I have nothing. If I could do that, I think it would be pretty dang big for me. The way the years went, in the middle of the year I thought I was done, out and I wish the year was over right then. Now I kind of look forward to some more racing."
Did this race seem unusually chaotic for Charlotte?
"It started out that way and Charlotte I always hate doing the first fuel stop here under green because nine times out of 10 there's going to be a yellow and you're going to be down a lap. Luckily when I won here I was on the other end. Charlotte is always going to have that yellow right in the middle of the fuel stop and screw up the whole show for a while. There was a pretty good wreck off of turn two that collected a few cars. The race track just had lots of grip, which we've been hearing all weekend. I don't know if that just made people drive a little harder or something."
