MAKING HIS ROUSH FENWAY DEBUT - Brian Ickler will be making his Roush Fenway Racing debut this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford. The San Diego, Calif. native has made three previous Nationwide Series starts, but this will be his first series start at the 1.5-mile speedway.
ICKLER AT ROUSH FENWAY FAN DAY - Ickler will join his Roush Fenway Racing teammates this Thursday in Concord for the company's annual Fan Day. Ickler will be on hand to sign autographs with teammates Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Colin Braun from 11:15 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
CHASSIS SELECTION - Crew chief Eddie Pardue has selected RK-354 this weekend in the Tech-net Auto Service 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This car has been run three times by Colin Braun this season, the latest was to a 13th-place finish by the rookie at Texas Motor Speedway in April.
Ickler, on getting the chance to drive for Roush Fenway at Charlotte: "I'm very excited to be making my Roush Fenway Racing debut this weekend at Charlotte. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be driving the No. 16 for Jack Roush. It's cool to be making my first start at Charlotte because I've driven there before in the Truck Series so I'm familiar with the track which makes things a little easier. It's also nice to have the race in Charlotte because it's kind of a home game for all the teams. We get to be at the track racing, but then there's the added bonus of getting to sleep in our own beds. I can't wait to get to the track and see what we can do with this No. 16 Con-way Freight car."
Crew chief Eddie Pardue, on having Brian Ickler in the No. 16: "We are excited to welcome Brian (Ickler) to Roush Fenway and have him in the car this weekend at Charlotte. He is a very talented young driver and it will be fun to see what he can do. We are bringing back the same car that Colin raced in Texas which was a pretty good race for this No. 16 team. We are back up in the top-30 in points, so we will be able to focus a little more on the race set-ups during practice. I'm looking for a good, solid weekend from this team and Brian."
