KESELOWSKI AT LMS - Keselowski will be making his fourth start for JR Motorsports at the 1.5-mile track. While driving for JRM, Keselowski has an average starting position of 25.6 and an average finish of 7.3 at LMS. In last season's spring event, Keselowski started 12th and finished third.
FIRST TIME ALL-STAR - Last weekend, Keselowski made his first career Sprint All-Star race start after qualifying into the event by winning at Talladega on April 26. Keselowski started 10th and finished 17th. He was the only Nationwide Series regular who does not drive in the Sprint Cup Series full time to participate in the event.
TAMING THE 1.5-MILE TRACKS - Since last May's Carquest Auto Parts 300, Keselowski has had big success at tracks 1.5 miles in length. In the last nine races at mile-and-a-halves, he has an average finish of 7.1 with five top-fives and eight top-10s. These tracks include Lowe's Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
COMING HOME - While this weekend's race at Lowe's Motor Speedway is considered a "home race" to most race teams, JRM has four team members who call North Carolina home. Crew Chief Tony "Pops" Eury Sr. is from Kannapolis, N.C., mechanic Danny Earnhardt Jr. is from Mooresville, N.C., mechanic and gas man Nick Deal hails from China Grove, N.C., and front tire carrier Jeff Shoaf is from Salisbury, N.C.
CHASSIS NO. 405 - The No. 88 GoDaddy.com team will run Chassis No. 405 this weekend in the Carquest Auto Parts 300. Keselowski previously raced this car at California earlier in the season where he started 13th and finished 27th after contact with the No. 16 car.
KESELOWSKI (on his first All-Star Race appearance) - "Man, I had such a good time participating in the All-Star Race activities last weekend, and I'm just so grateful to have had the opportunity. Last year I watched that race from a suite at the track, and would've never imagined that I would be competing in the race the following year. It was incredible to see all those fans come out for the start of Charlotte Race Weeks and the folks at Lowe's Motor Speedway did a great job at putting on a show for them."
KESELOWSKI (on all the fans being in town for Charlotte Race Weeks) - "It's awesome to have all the fans come to the Charlotte area for Speed Weeks. Even with everything that's going on with our economy, it shows how dedicated our fans are to this sport and us as drivers. I really appreciate that. I know we have some cool things going on at JR Motorsports for the fans. Dee Snider of Twisted Sister will be stopping by on Thursday and some of the JRM drivers are doing an autograph session on Friday. This is a time for us drivers to give back to those who support us and I'm happy to take part in it."
KESELOWSKI (on the night race at LMS) - "A lot of us started out short-track racing on Friday and Saturday nights at our home tracks, and so running here at home in Charlotte is kind of like getting back to that. It's obviously a much bigger scale than that, but it definitely has that feel for sure. Lowe's is a track I've done pretty well at in the past and one that I like to race at. We had a real strong run here last spring racing with Dale Jr. which I will get to do again this year. I hope to be able to improve upon that run and get this No. 88 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet into victory lane."
