Driver notches 21st place finish in first race at Charlotte

(Concord, N.C.) May 26,2008 - Brad Coleman and the No. 27 Cottonelle Ford Fusion took their best stab at the Beast of the Southeast in the Carquest Auto Parts 300 on Saturday night at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Taking the checkered flag in the 21st position, Coleman and his Cottonelle team were complacent with their first outing at Lowe's.

"Shawn (Parker, crew chief) and Jeff (White, head engineer) have really poured over our data from the test, K-Rig and wind tunnel," said Coleman. "The car we brought to the test just wasn't working at Lowe's so we had to bring a different car to the race. We have made some headway with our mile and a half program, but we still have a lot of work to do to contend for a win. I am confident Shawn and Jeff will get us where we need to be."

Coleman and the No. 27 Cottonelle team threw everything they could at the car.

"We made major adjustments throughout the night," said Parker. "We knew we were going to make lots of changes, it just depended on how the car reacted to the track on how dynamic we would have to go. The checkered flag has dropped and now its time to shift focus to Dover."
