JJ Yeley scored his first pole of the season at Talladega Superspeedway. Yeley's lap of 184.751 mph just bested the field to earn Yeley his second career Busch series pole.

"I can't say enough about my guys," said Yeley. "Wow. This is a great starting spot for us. I am really excited about our chances on Saturday. Hopefully, we will be able to run as well in our Cup car tomorrow."

Clint Bowyer was second with a lap of 184.002 mph, "It was good. We had a really good qualifying effort. It was a good run for the guys and I am really proud of them. It shows their dedication and hard work."

Denny Hamlin charted the third best time with a 183.931 mph.

"We weren't going to get the pole anyways," said Hamlin. "This is a good starting spot for us, there's not much difference for us between second and third."

Danny O'Quinn and Brian Vickers complete the top five.

Just forty-three cars attempted to make the forty-three car field; so all drivers who made a time trial lap will make the show.
