Last Week: Tony Roper made his career first NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division start in Saturday's Diamond Hill Plywood 200 event at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. Roper qualified 19th-fastest of the 53 cars entered at the track "Too Tough To Tame." Roper, eager to gain valuable track-time on the difficult speedway, ran in the top-20 until lap 53 when contact from another car sent him into the outside wall. The car suffered front-end suspension damage in the accident resulting in the loss of 35 laps while the crew made repairs.

"I was having so much fun out there," Roper said, following the race. "This is certainly a challenging trace and I was starting to figure out some of the characteristics of it when the wreck happened. It's too bad, but that's part of racing. We got back out on the track which gave me some more time and we also had a chance to practice some pitstops."

Roper finished 40th, completing 112 of the 147 laps and earning $8,555 in prize money.
