LYSOL 200 RACE NOTES
SCOTT GAYLORD (#77 Lear Corporation Ford) -- Gaylord started the car after qualifying it yesterday for regular driver Jeff McClure, who got into the driver’s seat during the first caution. I had no problems out there. I lost a spot or two, but I was just supposed to just hang in there and save the car. We’ve got the engine hung right out there - this is a top ten car. The track feel real good. I didn’t find any problem areas, but the car was getting a little push. We just put gas in, so all Jeff has to do is hand in there and a top 20 finish is a real possibility. I appreciate the opportunity to get into the car. I enjoy the Winston West, but if they ever need me again, I’ll find a way to get here. I missed my son’s baseball game today, but I did get a chance to call him.
DALE EARNHARDT JR. (#31 Gargoyles Chevrolet) -- Earnahrdt’s engine blew on the back straight The car was running pretty good, so its too bad this happened. I just wanted to get a good run in for my dad. I just want to thank him for giving me the opportunity to come here. We were happy. We’ll come back next year, and we’re planning five, six or seven more racxes this year so we can have a successful season.
ROBERT PRESSLEY (#47 Sunoco Chevrolet) - "We just tore the clutch out of it, the car was running great, you know, the Sunoco Monte Carlo, ASP Motorsports is great, and 360 Communications. We were moving up through there a little at a time, and the clutch fell out of it."
