LYSOL 200 POST RACE NOTES

TED CHRISTOPHER (#13 LesCare Kitchens Chevrolet) - "I got off into the sand trap, and that didn’t help, but now the motor’s overheated. I wanted to finish this race, and we had a pretty good car. We’ll be back here two more times, with the modified and the Busch North, so we’ll see."

JOE NEMECHEK (# 87 BellSouth Mobility Chevrolet) - "I thought I had something for them, but...I can’t say enough about the whole BellSouth Mobility Team. The car was awesome, and we beat Terry (Labonte) and Terry was the man. The other guys got it by pitting earlier and not having another caution. They got lucky. We were wearing the inside tires out and just had to conserve.

TODD BODINE (#36 Stanley Pontiac) - "This is the ultimate for us, to finish 1,2. We had a goal and we wanted to do that. Every week that’s what we wanted to do. To be able to finally do it, and do it here at home, for the both of us it’s just the best thing that could ever happen. I wore my car out getting there and I just couldn’t do anything with him. I have three 2nds here, and I’d rather have a couple wins out of it, but the points lead and second in one...we did the best we could with what we had. It’s just an awesome feeling, and to be able to do it as friends is even better. It doesn’t matter who, as long as we finish 1,2."
