KLUEVER PLEASED WITH LOWE'S TEST RESULTS

CONCORD, N.C. -- Todd Kluever and the No. 06 3M team spent two days testing the new surface at Lowe's Motor Speedway this week. The track surface was not the only new element for the team at the test. They brought a brand new Ford Fusion and they were eager to see how it would perform.

"The new surface is incredibly smooth and very fast," Kluever said. "With the tires having a harder compound than usual it will make for an interesting race. The tires really maintained their speed throughout a run. After the first three or four laps of a run we were equal with what the Cup guys were running, so we felt pretty good about that.

"Our new car is great. We tried a bunch of different set-ups and found more speed on Monday evening. On Tuesday Mark Martin took a few laps in my car and was impressed with what we had. I am really looking forward to the race there in a few weeks. We weren't at the top of the speed charts at the test, but I think we should be very competitive when we come back for the race."

The Carquest Auto Parts 300 will be Kluever's first Busch Series start at Lowe's Motor Speedway, although he has two prior starts there in other series. He competed in last year's Craftsman Truck Series race, and he ran the ASA event there in the fall of 2004.
