Tim Fedewa has fond memories of South Boston Speedway and it's annual day-long Busch Series event. The .4-mile oval was the site of Fedewa's second career win in the NASCAR Busch Series in 1998. Last year, Fedewa and the Stanley team came away from South Boston with a top five finish.

Fedewa would like to see his Stanley team make a return trip to the winner's circle in South Boston this weekend. Fedewa likens South Boston Speedway to a bull ring.

"You work so hard in a race like the one in South Boston," Fedewa said. "Anything can go wrong at South Boston in the blink of an eye. You really have to concentrate and pay close attention out there. I love the intensity of this race and look forward to Saturday." The car unloaded by the No. 36 team this weekend at South Boston Speedway has been good for the Stanley team this year. It's the same No. 36 that sat on the outside pole in Nashville.

It's also the same No. 36 that Fedewa won from the pole position with at New Hampshire International Speedway in May. It was Fedewa's fourth career pole and victory, and it was his first trip to victory lane since 1998.

"The car we'll have in South Boston is a great race car, and we have had really good luck with it so far," Fedewa said. "Every time we've taken it off the truck at a track, I've felt that it's a top-10 car. Hopefully that luck will hold up in the Textilease Medique 300." Mike Snow of Speedway Scene was the winner of last weekend's "Who Want's To Be A Tool Winner?" Stanley tools sweepstakes 2000. Snow came home from Dover Downs with a new Fat Max Tape Measure and Stanley pliers. Don't forget to pick up an entry form this weekend. Correctly guess where the Stanley team will finish the Textilease Medique 300 and win a new Stanley tool.
