BUSCH: Texas: Ward Burton preview

Ward Burton will drive the ...

Ward Burton will drive the #27 Cottonelle Aloe & E / Brookshire's Ford Fusion in the O'Reilly 300 this weekend. This will be Burton's 6th start in the #27 Brewco entry in 2007. His best finish in five races is 15th at Las Vegas; best start 8th at Bristol.

The O'Reilly 300 will be Ward Burton's first ever Busch Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. Burton has 150 career Busch starts, but Saturday will be his first at TMS.

Brewco Motorsports has one historic win at Texas Motor Speedway. Jeff Purvis gave Timber Wolf Racing their first NASCAR Busch Series win with his 2002 victory in the rain-shortened O'Reilly 300 at TMS. Purvis led only the final six laps in a race shortened to 116 laps due to rain.

Brewco Motorsports will display a custom paint scheme for the O'Reilly 300. The #27 Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford Fusion will race at Nashville, Texas, and Talladega. Brookshire's will be the retail customer displayed on the quarter panels at Texas.

Ward Burton on Texas Motor Speedway and the O'Reilly 300:

"Our Cottonelle Aloe & E Ford Fusion Team has been working hard on their 1.5-mile program. We've had pretty good cars at those tracks thus far, but we still need to make improvements in several areas. Stewart (Crew Chief Cooper) and the guys have been great to work with, and the Kimberly-Clark folks have made me feel right at home. I'm looking forward to visiting their World Headquarters in Irving this week and meeting many of their employees and management. Then, I want to give them a strong performance on Saturday. Texas Motor Speedway is a very fast track and one where I believe we can be very competitive."
