Kasey Kahne Quotes:

"Even though my last race was Atlanta, it feels like it's been a long time since I raced in the Busch car so I am really anxious to get back in the seat this weekend. Texas is a track that I really enjoy. I won the spring Busch race there driving for Akins Motorsports. But in the fall I drove the Hellmann's Dodge with Trip (Bruce) and these guys, and didn't fair as well. We lead a lot of laps but ended up wrecking. I am just looking forward to a second chance to get a top finish at Texas for this Ultimate Chargers team. These guys are putting great cars on the track week in and week out, and that makes it a lot of fun to drive for them."

Trip Bruce Quotes:

"We are pretty pumped up to get back to the track with Kasey. He really knows his way around Texas and we think this chassis can run just as good there as it did at Las Vegas and Atlanta. We didn't even have to change the decal on the hood for once, since Hellmann's is back on the car this weekend. The guys did take it apart and rebuild it after the race in Atlanta (Kahne finished second) which is normal from race-to-race in a Cup car, but Busch races are so much shorter you don't do it as often. We also had a really awesome test with Kasey last week at Richmond. That was a new chassis we built recently and it was very fast so we are looking forward to that too."

QUICK FACTS

Saturday's race marks Kahne's sixth career NASCAR Busch Series start at Texas Motor Speedway. Last spring Kahne won this race after starting from the 25th position.

In five Busch Series starts at Texas, Kahne has compiled one win, one top five, two top 10s, led 77 laps and earned $143,826.

Kahne was caught up in a late-race accident in last fall's Busch race at Texas and finished 38th after leading 30 laps.

In the past five races the No. 9 Busch Series team has climbed from 40th to fourth in the owner's point standings. The team's rise toward the top of the standings has come as a result of four-straight top-10 finishes, including one pole and one win.

Kahne's No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW team will serve as the pit crew for the No. 9 Busch team this weekend at Texas.
