BRENT SHERMAN BACK IN THE NO.10 FAN1ST.COM CAMRY IN THE LONE STAR STATE:
* Busch Series regular Brent Sherman will pilot the No.10 Fan1st.com Camry for the second time this season in the O'Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway. After scoring his career best Memphis Motorsports Park finish last weekend with the Braun Racing team, Sherman is optimistic about his chances in the Lone Star State! He previously competed in 30 Busch Series races this year, driving the No.36 Big Lots! Chevy for McGill Motorsports.
* Sherman has logged two previous starts at Texas Motor Speedway. In 2005, he started 37th and finish 34th.In 2007 he started 28th and finished 37th. Despite his rough luck at the 1.5-mile track, Texas Motor Speedway is one of Sherman's favorite tracks!
* As the season winds down and only three races remain, the No.10 Braun Racing team is proud of their accomplishments this season. In 32 races to date they've collected 11 top-10 and three top-five finishes. They have also logged 14 top-10 starts including one pole at California Speedway when they made history by capturing Toyota Camry's first pole! Competing with six different drivers this season, crew chief Trent Owens led four of them to top-10 finishes. The No.10 Camry has been in contention for wins several times this year. The team hopes they can reach that goal before the 2007 season is out!
SHERMAN ON RACING AT TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
"We had a good weekend in Memphis and I have every reason to believe we will have another good weekend in Texas. This is the best equipment I have driven in my career and we were able to run in the top-10 last weekend. My goal is to put the Fan1st.com Camry back in the top-10 this weekend and have another strong run with this team. Texas Motor Speedway is one of my favorite tracks because it's so fast. My driving style is better complemented on the mile and a half tracks so this should be a good run for us!"
The No. 10 Fan1st.com team will compete with chassis #27 in Saturday's O'Reilly Challenge. Dave Blaney competed with this chassis at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway in the spring and Kentucky Speedway where he finished 25th, 25th and 15th respectively.
