Rayovac Batteries, Martin Designs and Zapf Creation will join Toys "R" Us on the #54 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Hermie Sadler.
"We are very excited to be able to announce today that Rayovac, Martin Designs and Zapf Creation are partnering with us for the 2003 racing season," Goodwin said. "These three companies are all leaders in their respective fields and will help to make the 2003 season a very successful one."
Warren Kornblum, Chief Marketing Officer for Toys "R" Us expressed his excitement with the three sponsors joining Toys "R" Us.
"Toys "R" Us is thrilled to have such fine associate sponsors join us on the Toys "R" Us #54 Car. To us, this is and always will be about building a strong partnership that not only performs well on the track but that also is meaningful to family race fans everywhere," Kornblum said. "As we move into the 2003 season, I particularly look forward to working with our partners to find exciting promotions, show car programs and other initiatives that will be meaningful to our fans. When you put Toys "R" Us, Rayovac, Martin Designs and Zapf Creation together in partnership with Team Bristol and especially a terrific driver like Hermie Sadler, you have the makings of an extraordinary year. I look forward to great results on the track and building a long term relationship with the team and our associate sponsors. I can't wait to hear the Toys "R" Us engine roar!"
Merrell Tomlin, Executive Vice President for Rayovac, one of the world's largest consumer battery and lighting device companies, spoke about the honor it will be to partner with the Toys "R" Us Racing Team.
"Rayovac is honored to be a part of the Toys "R" Us NASCAR Busch Series Race Team," Tomlin said. "Toys "R" Us has assembled a talented team that we feel will strongly compete for the Busch Series Championship. We are excited about putting the 'Power of Rayovac' behind the Toys "R" Us car. We can't wait for the season to start." Martin Myers, President of Martin Designs, made the decision to join the Toys "R" Us Racing program after attending the August Bristol race last year.
"Martin Designs is excited about joining forces with a dynamic team like Toys "R" Us Racing, Myers said. "With the launch of our new NASCAR(R) stationery line, it made great sense to be a part of America's fastest growing spectator sport on all levels. After I attended the night race at Bristol last year, I could feel the excitement and passion that team owner Rick Goodwin exuded. All of us at Martin Designs wanted to be a part of it."
Sandra L. Crawford President & General Manager, Zapf Creation (U.S.) Inc., a leading manufacturer of play, function, and collector dolls and doll accessories, such as BABY born(R) and CHOU CHOU, announced the plan for her company to be a partner with the Toys "R" Us Racing program.
"In launching this program with Team Bristol, we saw a real opportunity to celebrate the dedication and passion for NASCAR racing that exists among millions of Americans," said Crawford. "We are pleased to be a sponsor of Toys "R" Us car #54 driven by Hermie Sadler, and to be working with Team Bristol who is supporting his comeback along with the quickly developing career of female driver Leilani Munter. All of us involved in this program share a similar commitment to support children in pursuing their dreams through the imaginative world of play. This sponsorship enables us to showcase this commitment and our key product benefits to the millions of NASCAR race fans in a meaningful, relevant way."
