Gateway International Raceway, July 20-21
NASCAR Busch Series: Gateway 250
Saturday July 21
8:00 PM Eastern -- ESPN 2/MRN
Team: No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Mike Kelley
Chassis: RK-374 Last ran at Atlanta, Mar. '07, finished 20th. Ran at Fontana, Feb. '07, finished 18th
Ragan on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"I am ready to get to work at Gateway. I feel like this is a home track for me. I have a lot of family in the St. Louis area and I have run here once before, in the Busch series and twice in the Truck series. We actually sat on the pole here in the Truck race last year. I am very optimistic about my chances here this year. The Discount Tire team is well prepared for a good run this weekend. The key to this track is having a good motor that can carry you down the straightaway. We have a fast car that should run in the front all night. This race is huge for us because with a good finish we can make a major move in the point standings. I am ready to be in Victory Lane and Gateway is a great place to get that first win of the season."
Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"We are extremely focused for this weekend. Our team has an opportunity to make a move in the point standings with a good finish. The difference between third and us is less than 100 points. We have a great setup for this race. You have to have good brakes at Gateway. I feel David is primed to win this race because of his experience at the track. He has seen it all here. When a driver is comfortable with a track they can do special things in a racecar. I am expecting to run in the front all night. This team has worked so hard this week and I think they should be rewarded. A win would be nice for the entire Discount Tire Family."
Team: No. 16 3M Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Eddie Pardue
Chassis: RK-190 Kluever raced this car at New Hampshire and finished 17th
Kluever on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"Gateway is a lot like New Hampshire so we're taking the same car we raced there a few weeks ago. We finished 17th with it at Loudon, which is not what we wanted, but I think we can have a better run at Gateway. I had a decent run there last year so hopefully we can build on that this weekend. This team could really use a good finish right now after two weeks of DNF's at Daytona and Chicago. Maybe we can gain some points back this week since there probably won't be 26 Cup drivers in the field at Gateway."
Eddie Pardue on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"Todd ran 13th at Gateway last year so I believe we can improve on that this weekend. We've got RK-190, which is what we raced at Loudon. The set-up will be a bit different since the Gateway race is at night and Loudon was in the afternoon, but we know enough about this car to get it adjusted to the conditions."
Team: No. 60 Dish Network/AT&T/Homezone Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Pierre Kuettel (P.K.)
Chassis: RK- 357 Won at Gateway last year and at second Nashville race this year.
Edwards on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"Gateway International Raceway is a very unique and fun track. There is no other track like it. It has a long straightaway and turn 4 is a blast. I consider it my home track and I will have a lot of friends and family there and I want to give them a great show. We had a great win there last year and this year is going to be awesome. The Nextel Cup Series is off this weekend so I can focus all my efforts on the Busch Series. This race means a lot to me and the whole Dish Network AT&T Homezone crew. We are determined to get our Ford Fusion back into Victory Lane!"
Crew Chief Pierre Kuettel on racing at Gateway International Raceway:
"We are bringing the car we won Gateway with last year and we have the goal to repeat. We also won the second Nashville race with it this year. Gateway International Raceway is close to home for Carl and he will have lots of friends and family there. It should be a fun race."
