INDIANAPOLIS (August 2, 2002) - The Kroger Speedfest kicked off the first of three nights of racing at Indianapolis Raceway Park last night.

Mike Bliss won the J.D. Byrider 100 for the USAC Silver Crown Series after leading the final 17 laps of the race. Bliss passed J. J. Yeley late in the race after Yeley had dominated the first 83 laps of the event. Yeley slipped to fourth at the checkered flag.

The Kroger Speedfest continues tonight with the Power Stroke Diesel 200 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. On Saturday night the grandstands will be overflowing as the NASCAR Busch Grand National Series competes in the 21st Annual Kroger 200.

11:00 a.m - Spectator Gate Open
11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. - Track Open for Busch Grand National Practice
3:30 p.m. - Bud Pole Qualifying (all positions - 2 laps)
5:45 p.m. - Pre-race ceremonies and driver introductions
7:00 p.m. - 21st Annual Kroger 200 presented by Tom Raper RV NASCAR Busch Grand National Race
