BRENT SHERMAN PARTS WAYS WITH GLYNN MOTORSPORTS

Charlotte, NC -- Busch Series rookie Brent Sherman has parted ways with Glynn Motorsports citing that the goals of the newly formed team are not in line with his or that of his sponsors, Serta Mattress, Hickory Farms and Consort for Men hair products.

"We have been disappointed that we haven't been able to find a solid situation in the Busch Series which really supports my sponsors and my efforts as a rookie," said Sherman. "We are pursuing relationships with well-established teams and feel very confident that we'll have a new home that will give us the right combination in the next couple of weeks."

Sherman, a graduate of the ARCA RE/MAX Series, finished second in points last season and earned two prestigious awards, the Bill France Triple Crown Award and the HG Adcox Sportsman of the Year Award. He began his Busch Series career in the No. 58 Dodge at Akins Motorsports which was recently bought out by Glynn Motorsports.

Sherman's sponsors will continue to back his racing efforts in 2005 and beyond.
