Rookie Shane Hmiel won his second pole of the season for Saturday's Busch Series race at New Hampshire. Hmiel won the pole with a speed time of 129.406 mph, a lap turned in only 29.433 seconds.

Hmiel, whose previous pole was at Nashville, has scored two Bud Pole Awards in only 11 career starts. "It's a good lap for us. This just shows how good my team is once again." Hmiel said.

Lining up alongside Hmiel in row one will be Bobby Hamilton Jr, in the No. 25 Team Rensi Ford. Hamilton, who last week dominated the race at Richmond but fell short due to an engine failure, ran a lap time in 29.527 seconds.

Rounding out the top five; Todd Bodine in the No.92 Chevrolet, Jason Keller in a ppc Ford, and lining up fifth, Randy LaJoie in the No. 7 Chevrolet.

The New Hampshire field for tomorrow's event will hold only 41 cars. This marks the shortest field in a Busch Series race since last July.
