Mooresville, N.C. (February 9, 1997) -- Ryder Driver Recruiting, the hiring arm of Ryder Systems' Integrated Logistics Division, has joined Ridling Motorsports for the 1997 NASCAR Busch Series season providing David Ridling's No. 88 team with driver Kevin Lepage and Karen Ridling's No. 43 team with driver Rodney Combs with logistics services. "We recognize NASCAR fans loyalty to sponsors products and the product we exhibit is a rewarding career," said John Priest, Director Driver Development, Ryder Systems' Integrated Logistics. "Our goal is to hire loyal and proud employees." At over 30 locations nationwide Ryder certifies and hires over 4000 professional drivers every year. And with over 9000 drivers, Ryder is one of the largest employers of drivers in the world. "Our drivers overwhelmingly have chosen NASCAR as their favorite sport according to a recent industry survey," continued Priest. "In addition, our drivers expressed an interest for Ryder to join the excitement of NASCAR racing. "Ryder ventured into NASCAR racing for two reasons, to elevate Ryder's excellent driver job opportunities nationwide to the industry and general public and to provide our drivers with representation in the sport they love." Ryder offers several different career opportunities which allows drivers to work during the week and attend races on weekends with above average salaries, medical insurance and 401-K and Stock Purchase Plans. "The 1997 Busch Series schedule is very demanding,' said David Ridling, President Ridling Motorsports. "With the addition of Ryder Driver Recruiting to our team, we know our equipment will arrive safely and on-time." For more information on Ryder's career opportunities call 1-800 RYDER-LIFE.
