Jason Keller Quotes:
North Carolina Speedway... The Albertsons team took the lead on lap 174 and never looked back in the spring race at Rockingham as Keller captured his first win at the 1.017-mile track. Keller is cautiously optimistic heading into this weekend's race.
"I'm trying not to get my hopes too high about this race because we ran so flawlessly in the spring," said Keller. "Anytime you dominate the way we did you have to remind yourself that the scenarios will be different when you go back. We need to approach this race the same way we've approached every race this season. We can't over think it. I believe we have a good handle on the track and a great set up for the race. We didn't just start running well in the spring, we have run well at Rockingham in the past few races. I'm looking forward to going back.
"Rockingham is an old worn out track that is fun to compete on. It's not going to be temperature sensitive, but it will be slick and tough to find grip. Your chassis set up is so important because the best cars can run at the bottom of the track and that's what we were able to do in the spring."
The Championship Chase... The Albertsons team lost some ground on points leader Greg Biffle last weekend at Atlanta. With just three races remaining in 2002, Keller is starting to feel the pressure.
"I try not to put any additional pressure on myself as the season winds down, but that is just unrealistic," said Keller. "It seems that every race is magnified when you are in the title chase. We need to worry about the things we can control and not stress out about what Biffle is doing. I don't think we can look at the final three races and say 'I run better at this track' and 'he runs better at that track.' I thought we would gain points on him at tracks like Bristol, but that just didn't happen. All we can do now is try our best, and regardless of the championship outcome this has been a great season."
