YOU WERE BEHIND JAMIE MCMURRAY WHEN THINGS STARTED UNFOLDING. "Yeah, it did. It's too bad to see that at the end of the race. I think we were going to get McMurray. We had a little bit better car and I just needed one more lap there. I was closing in on him. That deal down there, it just looked like they got loose and got together. I lost all of my ground trying to get on the apron to miss the wreck, but congratulations to McMurray. He's been in the right spot two weeks in a row and you're better to be lucky some times than good."
YOU ENDED UP SECOND AND NOT THIRD. "That worked out for us. This really clinched the championship in our eyes, so we're excited and we're going to be celebrating that tonight."
JASON KELLER-57-Albertsons Ford Taurus (Finished 27th)
"We were bad all day, and that's about all I have to say. There's nothing to say, we just ran bad."
WHAT CAUSED THE VIBRATION THE FORCED YOU TO COME BACK IN THE PITS UNDER GREEN? "They said it was a left wheel that was loose." HOW DO YOU APPROACH THE FINAL TWO RACES? "We try not to lose second now."
BOBBY HAMILTON, JR.-25-Team Marines Ford Taurus (Finished 29th)
"We just couldn't get a hold of the race track. We couldn't get the car to hook up. We couldn't get it to turn. One stop it would be too loose, and one stop it would be a little too tight. It was just an up and down day. I had a lot of horsepower, but it was just a bad day. This is one of the worst tracks that we come to as far as Fred (Wanke) and me. It was like I said during the middle of the race, we definitely need to mark this down on our test calendar."
SCOTT RIGGS-10-Nestle Nesquik Ford Taurus (Finished 18th)
"It was OK for us. We thought we had a good car for long runs. I believe we did. When we were here in the spring, we screamed about being tight the whole time, tight in the center. We did a lot of things to help us not be tight in the center. It was too much. It made us too loose all day. We could get racy with them on new tires, but I've only been here once. My impression of this place when I came here this weekend was that it was going to get tight, going to get tight, going to get tight, but the changes that we made, our car was loose all day long. I just had to chase it and fight it all day."
WERE YOU SURPRISED HOW HIGH THE RACING GROOVE WAS TODAY? "I was up as close as I wanted to get to the wall and my spotter came over the radio, and said, 'outside, outside, outside.' I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe that Michael Waltrip had enough room to go up there. Those guys do get a chance to practice, but that's what we're fighting against, and if I had a Winston Cup car I'd be over practicing it and getting the same thing. It seems like experience sorta rose to the top today, but McMurray was able to stay near the front and was there when it mattered at the end."
