Last Race - (Bashas' 200)-
Lewis, Jr. and the No. 46 Civil Air Patrol Racing team posted a 12th place finish at Phoenix International Raceway last weekend.
Lewis, Jr. remains 12th in the NASCAR Busch Series Drivers' Points Standings. Team owner Ashton Lewis, Sr. holds the 14th spot in the Owners' Points standings.
Ashton Lewis, Jr. on NC Motor Speedway:
"Rockingham is a tricky race track that will challenge you every single lap. It's one of those short tracks where you race the track more than you race your competitors. Patience is key. The track surface is very abrasive and it just eats up your tires. If you are too aggressive, you'll wear the tires out even faster so you have to pick the right moments to make a pass. But on the other hand, passing is tough so when you have even a small shot you have to go for it. If you can find the setup to make the car good on long runs and on worn out tires and keep your patience in check you'll have a good day."
Charlie Lewis on NC Motor Speedway:
"The challenge at Rockingham is to find the set-up that is good on the long runs once the tires wear down. In my eyes, it's all about who can slide around the track the best after their tires wear down."
