GREG BIFFLE-60-Charter Communications Ford Taurus (Finished 38th)

WERE THERE ANY EARLY INDICATIONS THAT YOU HAD MOTOR PROBLEMS? "It had a small vibration, but all of the cars that I've driven in testing so far have been vibrating. I don't know if it's a drivetrain problem or it's out of balance, but something is wrong with the package we have right now. If we're going to be a threat for the championship we have to work on this stuff. It's real unfortunate. The Charter car was awesome. I'm so proud of Brad (Parrott) and the guys, great pit stops. They're doing a fantastic job, I'm just really unhappy that we have to start our season out like this."

BOBBY HAMILTON, JR.-25-Team Marines Ford Taurus (Finished 8th)

YOU LOST A LOT OF TRACK POSITION WHEN THE AIR GUN JAMMED. "That hurts a little bit, but you can't put the blame on anybody. They made it up the next two stops. We were just a little tight all day long and there really isn't anything you can do about it. You're out there trying to miss the weapons is all."

ARE YOU SURPRISED TIRE WEAR WASN'T AN ISSUE TODAY? "I knew that tire wear wouldn't be that bad after Happy Hour because they would go and they would kinda fall off but stay consistent. The worst time we were, we were a little bit tight and it leveled off and stayed that way so it was predictable every lap. I love the tire a whole lot better than I did last year's tires."

YOU SUSTAINED RIGHT-REAR QUARTERPANEL DAMAGE. WHAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE? "The 27 and a lapped car got together. I went high to miss him and I was just watching trying to get away from him and barely scraped the whole right side of it and knocked the toe out of it."

WAS THAT A EXAMPLE OF LAPPED TRAFFIC NOT KNOWING WHERE TO GET PASSED? "You can't blame anybody because it's really a handful out there. It'd be simple to blame a lot of that stuff on people, but everybody is out there sliding around, so it's nobody's fault. That deal was hard racing."'

MIKE WALLACE-4-GEICO/Sportclips Ford Taurus (Finished 17th)

YOU EXPRESSED DISPLEASURE WITH ASHTON LEWIS AFTER THE RACE FOR THE INCIDENT WITH YOUR BROTHER KENNY. WHAT DID YOU SEE? "Kenny was in the 91 car and I didn't see any particular reason why they had to wreck at the start-finish line. I thought it was the most uncalled move no matter what caused it. The 91 was in position and the 46 ran into his right-rear quaterpanel assembly and turned him, and I expressed my view to Ashton. It was an uncalled for move. One position at Rockingham, it's not like they were going for the win. Had it been for the win that would be something different. It meant more to me because it was my brother and he had a tough weekend already."

WAS IT TOUGH TO FIND GRIP IN THE RACE TRACK AT THE END OF THE RACE? "Our car, we just didn't have the right setup. We think we just put the wrong shocks on the car for the tire wear. We had some other shocks yesterday that we should have left on the car because it was better on the long runs and our stuff wore out pretty quick and slid the front end. We got an average finish and it's nothing great. It's about as best as we deserved to finish. Tire wear was no different than it normally is here. It always wears tires out a lot and if you could keep those guys out for another 20 laps while you had new stuff on you felt like Superman after a while."

JASON KELLER-22-Miller High Life Ford Taurus (Finished 11th)

"We came into pit there at the end and they said we were the Lucky Dog so we had to come back in. We ran pretty good there right in the middle of the race and just lost the handle on it real bad there. I don't know where we went bad, but we just terribly lost the handle on it."

WAS REAR GRIP AN ISSUE TODAY? "Yeah, it was. It's just the way this race track is. I thought we had better balance than that, and all of sudden, boom, there it goes. It was like turning a light switch off."

ARE YOU SURPRISED TIRE WEAR WASN'T AN ISSUE TODAY? "I didn't think they would be here. You wear them out here all of the time no matter what. I figured it would be the same old, same old."

ROBERT PRESSLEY-47-Clorox/Wisk Ford Taurus (Finished 23rd)

DO YOU FEEL LIKE THIS PLACE HAS CHANGED SINCE YOU WERE LAST HERE? "I think this is the worst that I've ever raced at Rockingham in my life. It's been a couple of years since I've been here, and it's the same old Rockingham with grip and everything, but I don't know where we missed it because yesterday afternoon after we finished Happy Hour I was very happy, and after about 10 laps today we were absolutely out of control. We had no grip in the front or rear. It's not the manufacturer and it's not the tire, we just missed the setup."

DID YOU SET THE CAR UP FOR DIFFERENT WEATHER CONDITIONS THAN WE HAD TODAY? "No, we just plain missed everything today. It's Rockingham, but, boy, you're supposed to be able to get ahold of it with new tires and we just never did."
