Crew Chief Stewart Cooper on Richmond: "Our entire team is excited about racing at Richmond this week. We've got a new car that was just completed. This is not the car we tested at Richmond a few weeks ago, and with the momentum of our strong performance at Talladega last week, we'll be looking to build on that."
Ward Burton on Richmond: "Racing at Richmond is always special for me. It'll be my first race with Brewco and Kimberly-Clark in my home state of Virginia, and will be a very meaningful week. We gained some momentum last week at Talladega and look to carry that with us this week to another strong performance."
Burton will wear a special Virginia Tech helmet at Richmond to pay tribute to the Blacksburg, Virginia school. The helmet was designed and hand painted by Ontario, Canada artist David Arrigo. The helmet will have an American flag, images of Virginia Tech set against a backdrop of a rising sun, and a rose in bloom. The flag will feature 32 stars in honor of the number of victims in the April 16th tragedy on the VT campus.
