" Scott Riggs was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the Gatorade 200 at Darlington Raceway. Riggs finished 10th, scoring his 12th top-10 of the season. He took Raybestos® Rookie of the Race honors for the 13th time this season. Riggs has been the top finishing Raybestos® Rookie in four of the last five Busch Series races.

" Riggs maintains a sizable lead in the Raybestos® Rookie standings. He leads Johnny Sauter by 65 points (281-216) entering Friday's FUNAI 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

" No Raybestos® Rookie led a lap at Darlington or the previous week at
Bristol. The most recent rookie to lead lap is Scott Riggs at Michigan.

" Casey Mears finished 12th at Darlington, his best finish since he placed 10th at the Inside Traxx 300 at Nashville Superspeedway.

" Kasey Kahne also had a good day at Darlington. Kahne finished 18th completing all 74 laps of the event. The Darlington event marked the third time this season Kahne has finished on the lead lap.

" Eight Raybestos® Rookies started the race at Darlington and six were running at the finish of the event: Riggs, Mears, Kahne, Johnny Sauter (25th), Kerry Earnhardt (28th), and Shane Hmiel (29th). Overheating problems sidelined Brian Vickers (37th) while engine problems forced Dan Pardus from the event (39th).

" Riggs has led more miles than any other Raybestos® Rookie this season. In 25 starts, he has led 17 times in 10 races for 461.03 miles.

" Riggs is fifth in Busch Series points, 57 behind fourth place Scott Wimmer and 72 behind third place Jack Sprague. He is 60 points ahead of sixth place Mike McLaughlin and 112 in front of seventh place Kenny Wallace.

" Three Raybestos® Rookies have won at least one pole position this season: Hmiel (2), Riggs (2), and Sauter (1).

" With his win in the Tropicana Twister 300 at Chicagoland Speedway, Johnny Sauter became the first of the Sauter brothers (Jay and Tim) to win a NASCAR Busch Series race.

" Entering the Richmond event, four Raybestos® Rookies have started all 25 Busch Series races this season: Riggs, Hmiel, Mears, and Earnhardt.

" Jamie McMurray was the Raybestos® Rookie of the Race in the 2001 FUNAI 250 at Richmond International Raceway. McMurray finished 14th, just ahead of fellow rookie Scott Wimmer who claimed a 15th place finish. McMurray and Wimmer were the only two Raybestos® Rookies running at the finish of the race. Greg Biffle was involved in an accident and was credited with a 35th place finish.

" Greg Biffle was the highest qualifying Raybestos® Rookie at Richmond, grabbing the sixth starting position. Biffle was the only rookie that started inside the top-30.

" No Raybestos® Rookie Contender led a lap at Richmond in the September
event. Wimmer was the only driver to lead at least one lap in either race at
Richmond in 2001. He led once for seven laps in the May event.

" Wimmer was also the only first year driver to finish in the top-10 in either Busch Series race at the .75-mile Virginia oval. He placed seventh in the May event at Richmond.
