"We survived, that's the key word, barely. There was a lot of banging there in the last 50 laps. We made a pit stop and took right sides only and I was super loose and that didn't help, either. I just couldn't get into the corners as hard as everybody else and they would get anxious and push me out of the way because I was slower. The Channellock car was really good the whole night. It was getting better every pit stop. I've got to thank all the guys at Ford and Robert Yates Racing."
YOU HAVE BEEN VERY COMPETITIVE IN RECENT WEEKS. IS IT JUST A MATTER OF GETTING MORE TRACK TIME?
"We've been running the same car. We've got one car that I like the best out of all of them and we've been running it in all the races. We screwed up at Bristol. I didn't get us in the field and that hurt pretty bad but other than that the last four or five races have been a lot better. We're definitely getting better every race. We just have to keep working at it."
KAHNE POST RACE PRESS CONFERENCE
"Early in the race we fell back a little bit. We were real tight. Every pit stop we pitted early. We pitted a few times so we got better and better. I thought we were looking for a top-10 and then toward the end we pitted with maybe 50 to go and that final time everybody came in and got two right side tires and we got pretty loose. It was a good run for the Channellock Ford."
