Randy Tolsma on Charlotte: Randy Tolsma, driver of the No. 25 Team Marines Chevrolet, will make his first career start at the 1.5-mile track this Saturday for the Little Trees 300.
"I'm really looking forward to racing here in Charlotte," said Tolsma. "We had a great test session here a couple of weeks ago. We gained a lot of valuable knowledge from the test that will help with our setup for the race this weekend. I am confident that this will be a great weekend for Team Rensi Motorsports and the Team Marines."
Troy Selberg on Charlotte: Crew chief, Troy Selburg has one victory under his belt at Charlotte. He won the Winston Open in 1995 with driver Todd Bodine.
"Charlotte is my all-time favorite track," said Selberg. "As a crew chief, I have had a lot of success there. What I like best is that it's a track that is constantly changing throughout the day, which forces us to be on our toes and make adjustments to the car in response to those changes. We're looking forward to an exciting race and a strong finish this weekend."
Testing: Tolsma and the Team Marines tested the Team Marines Racing Chevrolet at Lowe's Motor Speedway, September 18th and 19th. Throughout the two-day test, consultant Bob Leonard worked with the team on a combination of set-ups in preparation for the Charlotte event.
Equipment: Troy Selberg, has selected car number 10 for Charlotte. This is the same car that was used at Las Vegas, Texas and the spring Charlotte race.
Three Stars To Bring Good Luck: Team Marines are honored to have Lieutenant General Gary S. McKissock as their special guest at the Little Trees 300. The Three-Star General currently serves as the Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington D.C.
Team Marines Also Welcomes: Fox TV's "Boot Camp" drill instructors, David Francisco and Tony Rosenbaum and show winner, Jennifer Whitlow, as well as second runner-up Jennifer Moretty who will be cheering on the Team Marines from the pits.
