Weather has been the lead story in NASCAR racing this year, and this weekend proved no different. Persistent showers Thursday washed out Busch series qualifying. The field will be set by owner points.

Stanton Barrett, who is running the Jack Roush owned No. 60 Ford; which is Greg Biffle's championship ride from last season will start on the pole for the second time this season.

"Every track, track position is very key, especially here; it's always good to start on the front. I'm just happy we get to do it two weeks in a row. We've worked really hard to start on the pole; it took a lot of effort on my part for that [laughing]. Thanks to Greg Biffle and the crew last year. It's exciting; it's good for our sponsors and good to be up front running with these guys and learning. I'm looking forward to Saturday."

Following Barrett to make up the top ten will be Jason Keller, Johnny Sauter, Scott Wimmer, Mike Bliss, Brian Vickers, David Green, Shane Hmiel, Bobby Hamilton, Jr. and Stacy Compton.

NASCAR radar weather shows a 70% chance of rain on Saturday with unrelenting thunderstorms.

Sunday's weather for the Winston Cup series also looks grim, with the weather pattern lingering over Darlington, SC throughout the weekend bringing high winds, heavy rain, lightning and thunder.
