Brewco Motorsports driver Jeff Purvis was admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition after his accident with greg Biffle during Sunday's Stacker 2 200.

Purvis suffered a contusion to the left base of the brain and a fracture of the first and second vertebrae said Dr. K. Shah a trauma surgeon who treated Purvis.

Purvis is scheduled for further tests later in the evening and over the next two days.

On lap 168 While the field was under green flag pitstops Purvis lost an engine. After laying oil down in turn one, Purvis' No. 37 car came to a stop on the track. Greg Biffle's No. 60 slipped through the oil and slammed Purvis' car.

The race was red flagged for over 20 minutes as rescue workers worked to release Purvis from the car. He was taken to the infield care center, awake and alert, complaining of a sore left leg. He was than taken to Lehigh for further evaluation.

Biffle was unconscious for a short while and was taken to St. Luke's Hospital for a CT scan.
