LOUDON, N.H. (May 13, 2000) In a race overshadowed by the tragic passing of Adam Petty, Tim Fedewa won the NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division Busch 200 on Saturday at New Hampshire International Speedway.

On Friday, Fedewa could barely hold back his emotions following the death of Petty in a crash during practice. Saturday, he started from the Bud Pole and led for 117 of 200 laps in the Stanley Chevrolet.

Fedewa grabbed the lead with two laps to go as Steve Park and Casey Atwood battled for position in Turn 3. He moved low to regain the lead and held on for his first victory since May 1998.

Series points leader Jeff Green was second, followed by Jason Keller, Todd Bodine and Hank Parker Jr.

Fedewa lost the lead at the start to rookie Kevin Harvick, who was in front until lap 16. Fedewa regained the top spot and stayed there until lap 128, when Buckshot Jones moved ahead following a pit stop. Jones was the leader until he ran out of fuel with nine laps to go. He ended up 19th.
