ROCKINGHAM, N.C.-As Mark Green and his Exxon Superflo team gathered for the Sam's Club 200, held at the North Carolina Speedway in Rockingham, N.C., they had high expectations of putting in a strong qualifying effort and finishing towards the front during Saturday afternoon's race. Unfortunately for Green and his team, they got the qualifying break they were looking for, but were unable to complete the equation on Saturday by finishing in the 23rd position. Green, who started 18th for the Sam's Club 200, was getting in the rhythm of the race when the first caution came out on lap 26. The team would come into the pits to take on fuel and four fresh tires, and leave the pits following a disastrous stop dead last. "We had planned on coming into the pits to get fuel, tires and make a chassis adjustment to loosen the car up for Mark, but ran into a few problems," commented Jeff Hensley, HMV Motorsports team manager. "Coming out of the pits last lead to us going a lap down which cost us a good run. We felt like we had a top-15 car at least, but you have to be good in the pits as well as on the track. Today just wasn't our day." After battling in through the back of the pack, Green was able to work his way to the 23rd position when the checkered fell, disappointed that it could have been better. "We had a good car all weekend," explained Green, driver of the Superflo Chevrolet. "It was tight to start the race but it kept getting better as we would go. Our first pit stop hurt us tremendously, costing us a lap that we had to fight for the entire race. With the competition in the Busch Series as strong as it is, it is important to be as flawless as possible in every aspect."
