PHOENIX, AZ (November 1, 2004)--The following are pre-race quotes and notes of interest from Rusty Wallace and Duraflame RWI Racing regarding Saturday's Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.
Rusty Wallace, Owner/Driver, Duraflame RWI Racing #66 Dodge:
"Phoenix is a racetrack where I've had a lot of success in the past. I grew up running flat racetracks and have always seemed to do pretty well on them. We tested the Duraflame Dodge at Phoenix a few weeks ago and ran really well in race trim. We're going to be using the same car that Jamie McMurray put on the pole at New Hampshire, so it's a solid, proven hot-rod. Our Busch Series program is progressing pretty well. Our cars have been fast, but we just haven't been able to seal the deal. Hopefully that will change this weekend and we'll be able to put the Duraflame Dodge in victory lane."
Blake Bainbridge, Crew Chief:
"It's really cool to get to work with Rusty. He has a ton of experience and really teaches all of us a lot about the cars and about racing in general. We're going to be running the car that won the pole at New Hampshire, so we're really excited. That car seems to really run well on the flat tracks; we had a good test session with it at Phoenix a while back. We had a fast car and great pit stops last week in Atlanta, so hopefully the guys will keep that up and we'll have a good run on Saturday."
