Jason Keller Phoenix International Raceway Notes:
* Jason Keller and the Albertsons team look to get back on track after a disappointing 27th-place finish at Rockingham last weekend. The Albertsons Ford had a lug nut work its way loose and forced the team to pit with 30 laps to go.
* Albertsons and Yoplait Yogurt, a General Mills Product, will make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation if Keller and the Albertsons team finish in the top five at Phoenix. Keller can earn up to $100,000 for the foundation with a win.
* Keller looks to capture his first top-five finish at Phoenix this weekend. Keller's best finish at PIR is sixth last year.
Jason Keller Quotes:
Phoenix International Raceway... The Albertsons team had a top five car last year at Phoenix, but had trouble maneuvering through traffic after qualifying 23rd. Keller knows that in order to contend for the win, they need to qualify up front.
"We had a great car at Phoenix last year, but I just couldn't showcase it," said Keller. "I haven't figured out how to qualify up front. Qualifying is a serious weakness in our program at PIR. It is important at this track to start up front because these Busch cars are so aerodynamically dependent. On a normal race weekend we spend most of our time during our first practice on our race set up, but we sat down and decided that at this particular track qualifying is too important. We are going to spend a little extra time working on it to put ourselves in a position to finish well.
"I love the flat race tracks like Phoenix. We've been very successful at them this year, but the car we have run at the flat race tracks already this year will be our back up car. My crew chief Steve (Addington) was a little mad at our flat track car after Memphis, so we will be taking a different Albertsons Ford with us than we originally planned.
A Phoenix Win Is A Victory In The Fight Against Breast Cancer...With a win at Phoenix, Yoplait Yogurt will donate $100,000 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on behalf of Keller's sponsor Albertsons. This is the second consecutive year that the Albertsons Racing team has played an integral part in both Yoplait and Albertsons' fundraising and awareness efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Although Keller desperately wants a win in order for the donation to take place, his efforts will reward the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as long as he finishes in the top five. Yoplait will donate $75,000 if Keller finishes second, $50,000 for third, $35,000 for fourth and $25,000 for fifth.
