* Mark Kenseth took the checkered flag for the 20th time in his NASCAR Busch Series career with today's victory. Kenseth won the pole and went to victory lane for the first time in eight races at Phoenix International Raceway, and now has wins at the one-mile track in NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series competition.

* In 20 Busch Series races this season, Kenseth has driven to victory lane two times, and extended Roush Racing's all-time series win mark to 83, the most in series history.

* Ford has now won 144 NASCAR Busch Series races all time, and seven in 2006 with three different drivers (Edwards, Biffle, Kenseth).

* Ford's win today is its sixth Busch Series victory at Phoenix International Raceway, the most for any manufacturer (J. Burton-1, Hamilton, Jr.-1, Edwards-1, Kenseth-1, Biffle-2). Ford has now won the last three Busch Series events held at PIR.

MATT KENSETH-17-Pennzoil Ford Fusion (Finished 1st)

"We had a good car all day, really. We qualified fast, and when they get me to qualify fast I know it's a good car. Jimmy (Fennig) and all of these guys did a great job on the Pennzoil car. It was really good all day, we just got behind on that one run a little bit and I got a little damage passing a couple of cars. Overall, it was great all day."

YOU GOT SHUFFLED BACK ON ONE PIT STOP BUT WERE ABLE TO GET BACK UP FRONT. HOW HARD WAS IT TO PASS TODAY? "Well, there were a bunch of guys that stayed out too, so it kind of got us shuffled back in the pack a little ways, and it was a little hard to get through there. We got dinged in a little bit with one car, so some cars with new tires and some cars with old tires, and Kevin and the 60 and some of them guys did a better job of getting through traffic than I did."

YOU'VE HAD A GOOD BUSCH SEASON THIS YEAR DESPITE RUNNING A PARTIAL SCHEDULE. "I've got a great race team and Jimmy has done a good job of getting this Busch program running better, too. He's built some new cars and made them better, and I was going to feel bad if I didn't win with this car because this thing is a car we built brand new for Richmond and qualified real fast and was fast off the truck, so I'm glad it worked out how it did for him."

DID YOU LEARN ANYTHING TODAY THAT YOU CAN USE TOMORROW? "I hope so, but I'm not really sure. There are probably some things that we ran in this car that we might run tomorrow. Whether it's going to work in that car or don't, I don't know. The cars are enough different, but it gives you some good confidence after running that good today."

CARL EDWARDS-60-Ameriquest Ford Fusion (Finished 5th)

"We decided that we would gamble and take two tires. Our whole team is in this together. Our Ameriquest Fusion was better than fifth, but we took two and that was it. I'm glad that Matt won; that's pretty cool. Him and Harvick having a real battle up there was pretty cool."

TALK ABOUT THE WAY THE RACE PLAYED OUT FOR YOU. "There were some long green-flag runs punctuated by cautions right after one another. My car was real good on long runs. The Ameriquest team did a good job of getting me out of the pits well, but on the short run I just couldn't go, so we tried to work on that a little bit, but I think we were about a third-place car all day and ended up fifth. It wasn't too bad."

DID YOU THINK YOU HAD A CAR CAPABLE OF BEATING EITHER HARVICK OR KENSETH AT THE END? "It was pretty cool. I was doing a little spitting there at the end watching Harvick and Kenseth, and I didn't know who was going to win that thing. I'm glad that Matt got the win. The Ameriquest Fusion that I was driving was good all day. We took those two tires, and it was kind of over from there. But, we gambled."

WOULD YOU SAY THAT TIRES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN TRACK POSITION HERE? "I'd have to say take four. If we could go back and change it, we would have taken four. I thought track position was good. I'll tell you something, the guy driving that 88, Shane Huffman, he did a great job on old tires. That was my inspiration to try two, but I couldn't get mine to go as fast as him."

SCOTT WIMMER-66-Duraflame/Bashas' Ford Fusion (Finished 42nd)

WHAT PUT YOU BEHIND THE WALL? "I hate it for these Brewco Motorsports guys. I feel bad. I got into the wall a little bit coming off of two and then the tire went down in three. I think it was kind of a self-inflicted deal. We struggled there. We were real loose at the beginning and then we got real tight, and I drove it into the wall and then I finished it off in three. We'll be back at Homestead and hopefully we can get a win there."
