Wolfe to Race Busch Series Events at Richmond, Dover and Nashville
Statesville, NC (May 10, 2005) -- Unilever Foods and Evernham Motorsports announced today that Paul Wolfe will be back in the driver's seat of No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge Charger for this weekend's Funai 250 at Richmond International Raceway as well as NASCAR Busch Series events at Dover and Nashville. Kasey Kahne will drive the No. 6 Dodge at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Wolfe, who shared driving duties of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge in 2004 with three other up and coming drivers, ran the first three NASCAR Busch Series events of the 2005 season including Daytona, California and Las Vegas. Jeremy Mayfield and Kasey Kane have since split driving duties of the No. 6 Dodge. The team's highest finish of the season is an eighth-place finish this past weekend at Darlington Raceway with Jeremy Mayfield behind the wheel.
Wolfe is looking forward to getting back in the drivers seat of the No. 6 Hungry Drivers Dodge this weekend at Richmond.
"Sitting on the sidelines the last few weeks has been tough so I am thrilled to be back in the seat this weekend," said Wolfe. "Ray has been working hard to get this new team moving in the right direction and I understand that he needed his veteran drivers to help him do that. They have made significant gains over the last few weeks, with improvements in just about every area. I have all the confidence that when we hit the track in Richmond that we will have a fast race car capable of running up front. Jeremy gave Unilever Foods their first top-10 finish last weekend at Darlington and my goal is to match that or beat it with a top-five or a win."
